Privacy Policy

Zevpoint E-mobility Private Limited ("Zevpoint", "we", "us" or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you buy from us, book a service, contact us, or use our website, WhatsApp, app or charging software; how we use and share it; and the rights you have under Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

1. Who We Are

  • Zevpoint E-mobility Private Limited, Plot No. 361, Industrial Area, Phase 1, Chandigarh 160002, India, decides why and how your personal data is processed, and is the Data Fiduciary for it.
  • This policy covers www.zevpoint.com, our WhatsApp numbers, calls with our team, our mobile app and charging software, and our survey, installation and service visits.

2. Personal Data We Collect

  • Contact and identity details: your name, phone number, email address, and billing, delivery and installation addresses; and your business name and GSTIN where you need a business invoice.
  • Order and payment details: the products and services you order, quotations, invoices and payment status. Card, UPI and bank details are handled by our payment partners; we do not store them.
  • Vehicle and site details: your electric vehicle and charging needs, your electrical supply and load, and the photographs, measurements and reports made during surveys, installations and service visits.
  • Communications: messages you send us on WhatsApp, by email or through our website, and records of calls with our team. Calls may be recorded for quality and training.
  • Charger and software data: when your charger is connected to our app or charging software, information such as charging sessions, energy use, device status and error logs.
  • Website and device data: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, and information from cookies and similar technologies.
  • Information from others: order and delivery details from marketplaces and courier partners, and details shared by our installation partners or by a person who refers you to us.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To answer your enquiries and recommend a suitable charger.
  • To process orders and payments, issue invoices and meet our tax and legal obligations.
  • To deliver products and arrange surveys, installation, service and warranty support.
  • To operate, maintain, secure and improve our website, app, chargers and software, including over-the-air updates.
  • To keep you informed about your orders, deliveries, visits, warranty and service.
  • To send you offers and marketing messages, only with your consent.
  • To understand how our website and advertising perform, and to prevent fraud and misuse.
  • Some WhatsApp enquiries are answered by our automated assistant, which uses your messages and order details to reply. You may ask for a member of our team at any time.

4. Consent and Your Choices

  • We process your personal data with your consent, or for purposes the law permits, such as fulfilling an order you have placed or meeting a legal requirement.
  • You may withdraw your consent at any time, for example to stop marketing messages. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out, and some services may not be possible without certain data.

5. Who We Share Your Data With

We share only what is needed, with:

  • Courier and logistics partners, to deliver your order.
  • Payment gateways and banks, to process payments and refunds.
  • Our installation and service technicians and partners, to carry out visits.
  • Technology providers that host, store and process data or help us communicate, such as cloud hosting, messaging, email, analytics and AI service providers, under obligations of confidentiality and security.
  • Advertising and analytics platforms, to measure and improve our advertising, where permitted.
  • Marketplaces, where you bought through them, to fulfil and support your order.
  • Government authorities, courts or regulators, where the law requires it.
  • A buyer or successor of our business, if it is reorganised or transferred, subject to this policy.

We do not sell your personal data.

6. Where Your Data Is Stored

  • We store data in India and with service providers who may store or process it outside India. Any such transfer is made in line with Indian law, with safeguards to protect your data.

7. How Long We Keep It

  • We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purposes above: while you are our customer, for the warranty period of your product, and for as long as the law requires, for example under tax and accounting rules. After that, we delete it or make it anonymous.

8. How We Protect It

  • We follow reasonable security practices, including access controls, encryption of data in transit and regular review of our systems.
  • No system is completely secure. If a breach affecting your personal data occurs, we will inform you and the authorities as the law requires.

9. Your Rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may:

  • Ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it.
  • Ask us to correct, complete or update it.
  • Ask us to erase it, where we no longer need it and the law does not require us to keep it.
  • Withdraw your consent.
  • Nominate a person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.
  • Raise a grievance with us and, if you are not satisfied with our response, complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

To use any of these rights, please write to us at support@zevpoint.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within the time required by law.

10. Cookies

  • We use cookies and similar technologies to keep our website working, remember your preferences, understand how the website is used and measure our advertising.
  • You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some parts of the website may then not work properly. Our website does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals.

11. Children

  • Our products and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 without the consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has shared personal data with us, please contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to This Policy

  • We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page, and where a change is significant we will let you know through our website or other appropriate means.

13. Grievance Officer and Contact

  • For any question, request or complaint about your personal data, please write to our Grievance Officer at support@zevpoint.com with the subject "Privacy", or by post to Zevpoint E-mobility Private Limited, Plot No. 361, Industrial Area, Phase 1, Chandigarh 160002, India.
  • We will acknowledge your message promptly and respond within the time required by law.
